Bless the world with the waters
Saturday is the last and most significant day of Pitru Paksha. It's considered an important time to honor our ancestors. It is thought that our ancestors can affect behavior up to several generations (one source said 12!). Let us honor them, so they feel content and continue on their way, not meddling in the business of this world any longer. They are supposed to be appeased by food offerings and also water blessings. Send them love. Send them peace. Do this for those you remember and those you don't.
JIVANA will be at the Montezuma River Mouth at 5am for a water blessing at sunrise but encourages a day of blessing action all of Saturday for the communities of the Southern Nicoya.
She says, "Go to a beach, go to a river, go to one of our beautiful falls and ask the waters to bless your ancestors and carry a message of peace far and wide."
On this eve of SHERO FEST, JIVANA hopes we can do our part in getting to the other side of fear and establishing the frequency Love for others to stand strong in as we continue to collectively face difficult times.
Other ways to honor our ancestry is by honoring the Earth. Consider picking up trash at the beach or waterways and please check out the work of our Nicoya Waterkeepers.
Here is suggested verbiage for a peace blessing for those who feel languaging challenged ;)
